Natural home remedies

For a long time, I had been inheriting and collecting skin care natural recipes which I wanted to share with everyone but never got right platform or rather never thought of writing a blog about it. Finally, I have decided to share my recipes through this blog, with an intent to help others. I completely believe in all-natural homemade remedies before jumping into medicine world. Similarly, for skin care routine I would rather create something homemade than go out for chemical products. In this pursuit, I came across many beneficial skin care products which anyone can whip at home using easily available ingredients. Many a times we get products with difficult to pronounce ingredients or find ingredients which cause confusion and frustration.

We have a tendency to overlook easily available ingredients and look for hard to find ingredients or commercial products thinking those are more beneficial. I will try to write recipes, mostly with readily/naturally available ingredients, which one can prepare easily along with offering the products (Royal Aura Products) that I am offering with similar ingredients but with longer shelf life (Approved high-quality preservatives which are necessary for inhibiting bacterial and fungal growth when trying to keep products for long). Most homemade products have short shelf life, as there are no preservatives, or need to be refrigerated. For best results, these products are to be used within 3-4 days and made fresh regularly. I always recommend using fresh ingredients for best skin care routine. So, feel free to use these recipes.

(Our products, because of the ease of their usage (right out of glass jar ūüėä), will help those with time constraints or other limitations. *Also, our products have a less oily feel due to usage of emulsifiers, which helps in retaining moisture and silky satin feel while retaining all the beneficial properties of individual oils. *)

Properties/benefits of Different Oils:

Argan oil:  Rich in skin-loving antioxidants with a luxurious texture, Argan oil  hydrates flaky skin and softens wrinkles. It is also anti-inflammatory and non-clogging, so it is great for acne-prone skin, since it’s non-comedogenic (unlikely to clog your pores).

Evening primrose oil: When massaged into sensitive skin, it heals inflammation and controls sebum for a clear and balanced complexion.

Borage oil: Borage is herb with beautiful star-shaped blue/purple blossoms. Its seeds release an oil that’s loaded with gamma linolenic acid, a powerful anti-inflammatory that has a soothing effect on mature skin.

Almond oil: Sweet almond oil keeps skin cells healthy, protects skin from UV radiation damage, and helps keep the skin smooth, soft, and free of fine lines. The fatty acids help your skin retain moisture and can heal chapped and irritated skin.

Avocado oil: Avocado oil is rich in fatty acids and is excellent for moisturizing the skin. In addition to vitamin E, avocado oil contains potassium, lecithin, and many other nutrients that can nourish and moisturize the skin.

Face Cream recipe:

Any one or all the above oils, if available: 1 tsp total

Aloe Vera gel: Either fresh from aloe leaves or if you can get pure gel without colorants and fragrances: 2 tsp

Essential oil: Lavender / Tea tree: few drops (if you do not have essential oils you can skip but adding them gives unique beneficial properties and nice smells)

Mix oil (combine small amount of all oils if you have them, in equal quantities and take one teaspoon out of that). Extract fresh aloe gel from fresh succulent aloe leaves or store bought pure one. Mix both aloe gel and oil and mix vigorously with small whisk or fork in a glass bowl and add few drops of essential oil. Your facial cream is ready. It can be put in small jar and refrigerated for 3-4 days. Discard after 4 days and make fresh batch.

You can apply this face cream as night cream or as moisturizer under your makeup.
